SILFS MID-TERM CONFERENCE 2012

The Italian Society of Logic and Philosophy of Science (SILFS) will hold on November 20-21, 2012 its mid-term Conference at the Department of Human Sciences, University of Milan-Bicocca.
We invite submissions in all areas of logic and philosophy of science, with special attention to inter-disciplinary approaches to logical and epistemological issues and topics in the foundations of special sciences (both natural, social and human).
One session of the Conference will be reserved to young scholars who have discussed their Ph.D dissertation not later than 3 years ago (details below in the section SUBMISSIONS).

INVITED SPEAKERS
M.L. Dalla Chiara (University of Florence)
S. Psillos (University of Athens)

SUBMISSIONS
Potential contributors will have to submit a title, a short abstract and an extended abstract (1000 words), prepared for blind refereeing. The abstract should be submitted electronically using the EasyChair submission page at:

The submission page allows to select, when applicable, whether the participant is ‘young’ (tick on “Y-Participant”) or not (tick on “Participant”). This will allow to manage the session of the conference explicitly dedicated to young scholars.
Every contributed speaker will have 30 minutes, including discussion. The official language of the Conference is English.

REGISTRATION
In order for participants to attend the Conference and give a talk, it is mandatory to subscribe to the Society (50 euros for professors, 30 euros for assistant professors and lecturers, 20 euros for students and PhD students): details can be found on the SILFS webpage (www.silfs.net).
